I am a member of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme

I have owned, bred and worked spaniels for the past 30 years. It was in the early 80’s that I had a dream of owning a Clumber, this dream was realised in 2000 when I bought my first Clumber, a bitch called Poldark.

From that point my life changed and now I own seven Clumbers, six of them my own breeding. I made many mistakes with Poldark, as I trained and treated her in the same way that I have always done with my springers. Clumbers are the gentlemen of the Spaniel world. They are originally pack hunting dogs and retrieving is not necessarily natural. However today, aged 10 years, Poldark has given me many hours of pleasure in the field, punctuated with frustration, all due to my mistakes during training. She has taught me a lot and now I feel that I really understand the breed.

I have just added a Links page, with links to a few sites, though the list will grow over time.
